Trudeau strictly warns Canadians to follow the guidelines:
While he confesses the public’s readiness to obey public health actions may be lagging, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is requesting Canadians to remain attentive on stopping the Omicron variant from eradicating the coming winter and spring.
“Omicron doesn’t care if we’re exhausted of limitations,” Trudeau stated in a year-end interview circulating on Rosemary Barton Live on Sunday. “It’s going to keep doing what it does anyway. Source – cbc.ca
“We have a preference because we’ve seen it so numerous times. If we act earlier and carefully to hold back, to starve Omicron if we over the next two weeks don’t feed it, don’t give it chances to extend more than it has to, we’ll have a much better winter and away better spring.” Source – cbc.ca
Trudeau created the comments as the federal government declared healthier testing conditions for global visitors to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
Beginning Tuesday, all tourists will again require to get a COVID-19 molecular test ere returning to Canada. Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos stated today he’s moving back the immunity declared the previous month, which allowed completely vaccinated Canadians and permanent citizens taking journeys abroad staying less than 72 hours to return home without proof of a negative test.
The restored testing condition will be implemented beginning Tuesday, Dec. 21. The federal government is also urging against any extreme journey during Christmas time. The Liberals and the NDP have stated their MPs and staff are not allowed to tour internationally right now. Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole has not shown that exposure to his crew.
