Video game firm wants tech to be the ‘blue-collar:.’
A Vancouver-based video game firm has struck the top of the Apple and Google download charts with the latest mobile game founded on the famous TV show The Office.
And East Side Games general manager Josh Nilson, initially from a small neighborhood north of Prince George, expects the game’s victory will also support BC’s reputation as a tech hub and draw more individuals from all backgrounds to the enterprise.
The firm has already created games founded on famous TV shows, including RuPaul’s Drag Race and Trailer Park Boys, but getting the privileges to the American version of The Office was a significant boost, he stated.
Even though the schedule has been off the air for about ten years, it still has a big fan following and regularly beats streaming charts as individuals re-watch the show’s nine seasons.
The Office: Somehow We Manage has participants performing at the fictional workplace Dunder Mifflin, interacting with personalities and reliving iconic moments from the series.

Designing games a ‘blue-collar job.’
Ironically, Nilson told his story that demonstrates you don’t require to work in an office to find a win.
After growing up in Willow River, a small community north of Prince George, B.C., Nilson worked in the hospitality industry for 20 years before transitioning into game development.
And while he’s now founded in Vancouver, Nilson tells the pandemic has created the technology enterprise even more decentralized, letting individuals operate from anywhere.
