The top CFDA fashion prize goes to Christopher John Rogers
Rogers, whose purple outfit was selected by Vice President Kamala Harris for her launch, won for womenswear and Bode for menswear at the glittery decorum — The fashion industry’s type of the Oscars — which was conducted in person this year after a virtual-only decorum in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The previously declared Fashion Icon prize — the most visible celebrity award at the event awarded to Zendaya, for what the CFDA called her “Global impact on fashion.”

It also recognized her clothing line Daya by Zendaya, launched in 2013 and promoting “gender-fluid designs in a full-size range.”
A spokesperson for brands like Lancome and Valentino, Zendaya is currently acting in “Dune.” In 2020 she was awarded the Emmy for lead actress in a drama for her spectacular performance in “Euphoria.”
Past Fashion Icons beneficiaries have included Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Pharell Williams, Rihanna, and Jennifer Lopez.
